Later Gators Edge Firebirds on a Tiebreaker to Win the Durham Division 1 Title

Later Gators are your Spring 2026 Durham Division 1 champions.

The Durham Division 1 final went the distance. The Later Gators and the Firebirds traded blows to a 38–38 deadlock, and with nothing to separate them on the field it was Later Gators, the higher regular-season seed, who were awarded the crown on a tiebreaker.

You couldn't have asked for a closer finish to Spring 2026. Both finalists can hold their heads high after a final that had everything — but only one banner goes up, and it's Later Gators's.
